Lafayette City is a city located in Macon County, Tennessee, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Lafayette City is home to 3885 inhabitants. The city has a total area of 4.37 square miles (11.32 kmē), makes it the 190th largest by total area in Tennessee.
