Laconia City is a city in the Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Laconia City is home to 16411 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 17065, giving it the ninth largest population among New Hampshire. The city spans an area of 26.58 square miles (68.84 sq km), of which, 20.28 square miles (52.52 sq km) of it is land and 6.3 square miles (16.32 sq km) of it is water, making it the 11th largest by size in New Hampshire. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in New Hampshire.
