Laclede County is a county in the United States of Missouri. In 2000, county's population was 32513 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 35524, It is the 33rd largest county by population in the U.S. state of Missouri. It has total area of 768 sq mi (1989.11 sq km), of which, 765.85 square miles (1983.54 sq km) of it is land and 2.14 square miles (5.54 sq km) of it is water, it is the 18th largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.

The population density was 42.5 people per square mile (16.41/kmē), it is the 40th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 14320 housing units at an average density of 18.7 per square mile (7.22/kmē). The average household size was 2.52 persons, and the average family size was 2.97 persons. Age range in the county was well distributed with 26.7% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.9 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 35524, The racial makeup of the county was 96.67% White, 0.9% Black or African American, 0.52% American Indian, 0.44% Asian, 0.06% Native Hawaiian, and 1.42% from two or more races.
