Lacey City is a city in the Thurston County, Washington, United States. Lacey City had an official population of 31226 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 40702, It is the 31st most populous in the U.S. state of Washington. Its area is just over 16.32 miē (42.27 kmē), of which, 15.95 square miles (41.31 kmē) of it is land and 0.37 square miles (0.96 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 41st largest by total area among Washington.

As of the census of 2000, there were 31226 residents, 12459 households, and 8149 families in the city. The population density was 1957.8 people per square mile (755.91/kmē), it would be the 124th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Washington.
