Kotlik City is a city located in the Wade Hampton Census Area, Alaska, United States. It is home to over 591 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 649 in July 2008, It is the 93rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Alaska. The city has a total area of 4.65 sq mi (12.04 sq km), of which, 3.82 square miles (9.89 sq km) of it is land and 0.83 square miles (2.15 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 60th smallest by total area in Alaska.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 591 people, 117 households, and 102 families residing in the city. The population density was 154.8 people per square mile (59.77/kmē), giving it the 46th most densely populated city among the Alaska. There were 139 housing units at an average density of 36.4 per square mile (14.05/kmē). The average household size was 5.05 and the average family size was 5.48. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 48.2% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 24.9% from 25 to 44, 12% from 45 to 64, and 3.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 114.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 109.6 males. The median age was 18.5 years, the median age of male residents at 18.2 and the median age of female residents at 18.9. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 3.55% White, 0% Black or African American, 93.57% American Indian, 0% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 2.88% from two or more races and 0% Other races.
