Kobuk City is a United States city located in the Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 109 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 113, giving it the 108th smallest population among Alaska. The city extends throughout a territory of 16.83 square miles (43.59 square kilometre ), of which, 16.1 square miles (41.7 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.73 square miles (1.89 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 205th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 109 residents, 26 households, and 23 families in the city. The population density was 6.8 people per square mile (2.63/kmē), it is the 225th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alaska. There were 45 housing units at an average density of 2.8 per square mile (1.08/kmē). The average household size was 4.19 people, and the average family size was 4.26 people. In the city Age distribution was 52.3% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 18.3% from 25 to 44, 17.4% from 45 to 64, and 2.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100 males. The median age is 17.4 years, the median age of male residents at 17.5 and the median age of female residents at 17.3. The racial makeup of the city was 4.59% White, 0% Black or African American, 93.58% American Indian, 0.92% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0% from two or more races and 0.92% Other races.
