Knoxville City is a city located in Knox County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 3183. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2917, It is the 402nd largest by population in the U.S. state of Illinois. Its area is just over 2.2 sq mi (5.7 sq km), making it Illinois's 420th largest by total area.
