Kit Carson Town is a one of the Cheyenne County, Colorado, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 253. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 202, It is the 60th least populous in the U.S. state of Colorado. It has total area of 0.56 mi˛ (1.45 square kilometre), making it Colorado's 84th smallest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 253 residents, 113 households, and 65 families in the town. The population density was 453.7 people per square mile (175.17/km˛), it is the 85th least populated town in terms of population density. There were 158 housing units at an average density of 282.1 per square mile (108.92/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.12 persons, and the average family size was 2.94 persons.
