Kirtland City, Lake County, Ohio is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 6670. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 7362, making it the 235th most populous in Ohio. The city has a total area of 16.71 sq mi (43.28 kmē), of which, 16.6 square miles (42.99 kmē) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 48th largest by total area in Ohio.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6670 people in the city, organized into 2445 households, and 1885 families living in the city. The population density was 401.8 people per square mile (155.14/kmē), it is the 83rd least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Ohio.
