Kiowa County is a county located in Kansas, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 3278 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 2541, giving it the 11th smallest population among Kansas's county. It covers total area of 722.62 sq mi (1871.58 square kilometre), of which, 722.39 square miles (1870.98 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 57th largest by total area among Kansas's county.
