Kingman City is a city located in the Kingman County, Kansas, United States. As of 2000 the population was 3387. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 2996, It is the 79th largest in terms of population. The city comprises an area of 3.49 mi˛ (9.04 square kilometre), of which, 3.47 square miles (8.99 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 59th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3387 people, 1407 households, and 912 families residing in the city. The population density was 975.8 people per square mile (376.76/km˛), making it the 324th most densely populated city in Kansas. There were 1563 housing units at an average density of 450.4 per square mile (173.9/km˛). The average household size was 2.34 persons, and the average family size was 2.95 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 26.4% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 20.2% from 45 to 64, and 22.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 118.7 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 120.9 females.
