King Cove City, Alaska


King Cove City is a one of the Aleutians East Borough, Alaska, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The city has a population of 792 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 734, It is the 66th most populous in the U.S. state of Alaska. The city comprises an area of 29.81 square miles (77.21 sq km), of which, 25.27 square miles (65.45 sq km) of it is land and 4.54 square miles (11.76 sq km) of it is water, making it the 159th largest by size in Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 792 people, 170 households, and 117 families residing in the city. The population density was 31.3 people per square mile (12.08/kmē), it is Alaska's 125th most densely populated city. There were 207 housing units at an average density of 8.2 per square mile (3.17/kmē). The average household size was 2.9 and the average family size was 3.53. In the city Age distribution was 21.3% under the age of 18, 11.9% from 18 to 24, 41% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 147.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 166.2 males. The median age of the city's population was 34.9 years, The median age of males was 35.8 years, for females the median age was 32.7 years. The racial makeup of the city was 15.03% White, 1.64% Black or African American, 46.72% American Indian, 26.77% Asian, 0.13% Native Hawaiian, 3.79% from two or more races and 5.93% Other races.
