Kilgore City, Gregg and Rusk counties, Texas is a city located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 11301 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 12010, giving it the 190th largest population among Texas. The city spans an area of 15.43 sq mi (39.96 square kilometre), of which, 15.39 square miles (39.86 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 157th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 11301 people, 4403 households, and 2965 families living in the city.
