Kiawah Island Town is a town in the Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Kiawah Island Town is home to 1163 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1118, It is the 216th most populous in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It covers total area of 13.54 miē (35.07 kmē), of which, 11.16 square miles (28.9 kmē) of it is land and 2.38 square miles (6.16 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 27th largest by total area in South Carolina. It is ranks 12 in the size of its inland waterways in South Carolina.
