Kernersville Town is a one of the Forsyth and Guilford counties, North Carolina, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, town's population was 17126 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 22392, giving it the 42nd largest population among North Carolina. It is spread over 12.17 sq mi (31.52 square kilometre), of which, 12.1 square miles (31.34 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 65th largest by total area among North Carolina.

The population density was 1415.7 people per square mile (546.6/kmē), it is the 85th most densely populated town in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
