Its population was estimated at 155415 in July 2008, It is Delaware's third most populous county. It has total area of 800.12 square miles (2072.3 kmē), of which, 589.72 square miles (1527.37 kmē) of it is land and 210.4 square miles (544.93 kmē) of it is water, it is the second largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Delaware.
