Kent City, Washington is a city of the King County, Washington, United States. The population of the city was 79524 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 83978, making it Washington's eighth largest. It has total area of 28.27 square miles (73.22 sq km), of which, 28.03 square miles (72.6 sq km) of it is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 sq km) of it is water, it is the 16th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

As of the census of 2000, there were 79524 residents, 31113 households, and 19591 families in the city. The population density was 2836.7 people per square mile (1095.26/kmē), it is 66th most densely populated city in Washington. The racial makeup of the city was 70.81% White, 8.23% Black or African American, 0.98% American Indian, 9.42% Asian, 0.76% Native Hawaiian, 5.37% from two or more races and 4.43% Other races.
