Kenosha County, Wisconsin is a county located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 149577. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 164465, giving it the seventh largest population among Wisconsin's county. The county extends throughout a territory of 754.31 sq mi (1953.65 sq km ), of which, 272.83 square miles (706.63 sq km) of it is land and 481.48 square miles (1247.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 46th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in Wisconsin.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 149577 people, 56057 households, and 38451 families residing in the county. The population density was 548.2 people per square mile (211.66/kmē), it is fourth most densely populated county in Wisconsin. There were 59989 housing units at an average density of 219.9 per square mile (84.9/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.6 persons, and the average family size was 3.13 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.1% under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 31.3% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.3 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 164465, The racial makeup of the county was 90.65% White, 5.91% Black or African American, 0.45% American Indian, 1.42% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 1.53% from two or more races.
