Kanabec County, Minnesota is a county of the United States of Minnesota. In 2000, county's population was 14996 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 16091, It is the 52nd most populous county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 533.38 mi˛ (1381.45 sq km), of which, 524.93 square miles (1359.56 sq km) of it is land and 8.45 square miles (21.89 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 22nd smallest by total area in Minnesota.
