It is 32nd most populous in Hawaii. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 43.83 sq mi (113.52 sq km ), of which, 39.48 square miles (102.25 sq km) of it is land and 4.35 square miles (11.27 sq km) of it is water, it is the sixth largest by area in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It is ranks fourth in the size of its inland waterways in Hawaii.
