Kaktovik City is a one of the North Slope Borough, Alaska, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The city has a population of 293 as per the 2000 census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 260, It is 157th most populous in Alaska. The city encompasses an area of 1 square miles (2.59 sq km ), of which, 0.79 square miles (2.05 sq km) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 sq km) of it is water, giving it the tenth smallest by total area among Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 293 people, 89 households, and 70 families living in the city. The population density was 371 people per square mile (143.24/kmē), it is the 21st most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alaska. There were 95 housing units at an average density of 120.3 per square mile (46.45/kmē). The average household size was 3.29 people, and the average family size was 3.76 people.
