It is the 38th smallest in terms of population. It has total area of 5.72 mi˛ (14.81 square kilometre), of which, 4.86 square miles (12.59 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.86 square miles (2.23 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 48th largest by area in the U.S. state of Hawaii.
