Judith Basin County, Montana is a county of the United States of Montana. The population of county in 2000 stood at 2329 as per the Census data. Its population was estimated at 2014 in July 2008, It is the 14th smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Montana. It covers total area of 1870.71 sq mi (4845.12 sq km), of which, 1869.85 square miles (4842.89 sq km) of it is land and 0.86 square miles (2.23 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 36th largest by total area among Montana's county.


As of the census of 2000, there were 2329 people in the county, organized into 951 households, and 662 families living in the county. The population density was 1.2 people per square mile (0.46/kmē), it is the 12th least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Montana. There were 1325 housing units at an average density of 0.7 per square mile (0.27/kmē). The average household size was 2.45 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 26.8% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 or older.
