Jordan City is a one of the Scott County, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The city has a population of 3833 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 5445, It is the 154th largest in terms of population. It is spread over 2.64 sq mi (6.84 sq km), of which, 2.61 square miles (6.76 sq km ) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 257th largest by total area in Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3833 people in the city, organized into 1349 households, and 981 families residing in the city. The population density was 1466.5 people per square mile (566.22/kmē), it is Minnesota's 151st most densely populated city. There were 1423 housing units at an average density of 545.2 per square mile (210.5/kmē). The average household size was 2.84 people, and the average family size was 3.31 people. In the city the population was spread out, with 33.5% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 33.6% from 25 to 44, 15.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.6% who were 65 or older.
