Jonesboro City is a city located in the Craighead County, Arkansas, United States. In 2000, the population was 55515. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 63960, It is Arkansas's fifth largest by population . It is spread over 80 square miles (207.2 square kilometre), of which, 79.64 square miles (206.27 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.36 square miles (0.93 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the second largest by total area among Arkansas. It is ranks 19 in the size of its inland waterways in Arkansas.
