Jones County is a county located in the United States of Georgia. It is home to over 23639 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 27542, giving it the 64th largest population among Georgia's county. It covers total area of 395.39 square miles (1024.06 kmē), of which, 393.75 square miles (1019.81 kmē) of it is land and 1.64 square miles (4.25 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 61st largest by total area among Georgia's county.
