Johnstown City is a United States city located in the Fulton County, New York, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 8511 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 8438, It is New York's 219th largest by population . The city extends throughout a territory of 4.87 sq mi (12.61 square kilometre ), of which, 4.86 square miles (12.59 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 208th largest by total area in New York.
