Jersey County is a county located in Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 21668 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 22622, making it Illinois's 53rd largest county. The county comprises an area of 377.02 mi˛ (976.48 square kilometre), of which, 369.16 square miles (956.12 square kilometre) of it is land and 7.86 square miles (20.36 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 23rd smallest by size in Illinois.
