Jerome County, Idaho is a county of the United States of Idaho. The county has a population of 18342 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 20468, making it the 17th most populous county in Idaho. It is spread over 601.87 mi˛ (1558.84 square kilometre), of which, 599.84 square miles (1553.58 square kilometre ) of it is land and 2.03 square miles (5.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the sixth smallest by area in the U.S. state of Idaho.

The population density was 30.6 people per square mile (11.81/km˛), it is the 11th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Idaho. Age range in the county was well distributed with 31.5% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 20.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 104.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.5 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 20468, The racial makeup of the county was 96.88% White, 0.5% Black or African American, 1.06% American Indian, 0.39% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, and 1.12% from two or more races.
