Jerauld County is one of the 66 county of South Dakota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The county has a population of 2295 as per the 2000 census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1982, It is South Dakota's eighth least populous county. The county spans an area of 532.63 square miles (1379.51 kmē), of which, 529.91 square miles (1372.46 kmē) of it is land and 2.72 square miles (7.04 kmē) of it is water, it is the ninth smallest in terms of geographical size.
