Jeff Davis County is a county located in Georgia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 12684. Its population was estimated at 13486 in July 2008, making it Georgia's 49th smallest county. The county has a total area of 335.42 square miles (868.73 kmē), of which, 333.38 square miles (863.45 kmē) of it is land and 2.04 square miles (5.28 kmē) of it is water, making it the 86th largest by size in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12684 people in the county, organized into 4828 households, and 3591 families living in the county. The population density was 38 people per square mile (14.67/kmē), it is the 107th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 5581 housing units at an average density of 16.7 per square mile (6.45/kmē). The average household size was 2.61 people, and the average family size was 3.02 people. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 27.2% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 13486, The racial makeup of the county was 83.06% White, 15.1% Black or African American, 0.26% American Indian, 0.96% Asian, 0.06% Native Hawaiian, and 0.56% from two or more races.
