Jasper City is a city located in the Walker County, Alabama, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 14052 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 14131, It is the 39th most populous in the U.S. state of Alabama. The city extends throughout a territory of 26.88 sq mi (69.62 square kilometre ), of which, 26.87 square miles (69.59 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 27th largest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.

As of the census of 2000, there were 14052 people, 5728 households, and 3807 families residing in the city. The population density was 523 people per square mile (201.93/kmē), making it the 136th most densely populated city in Alabama. There were 6473 housing units at an average density of 240.9 per square mile (93.01/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.33 persons, and the average family size was 2.91 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 21.9% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 24% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 86.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.5 males.
