In July 2008, its estimated population was 218, It is Vermont's sixth smallest by population . The city encompasses an area of 1.17 square miles (3.03 square kilometre ), of which, 1.14 square miles (2.95 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 19th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Vermont.
