Jackson County is a United States county located in the United States of Wisconsin. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Jackson County is home to 19100 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 19904, making it Wisconsin's 20th smallest county. The county extends throughout a territory of 1000.11 square miles (2590.27 sq km ), of which, 987.32 square miles (2557.15 sq km) of it is land and 12.79 square miles (33.13 sq km) of it is water, making it the 22nd largest by size in Wisconsin.

In the county Population was distributed with 24.1% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 29.4% from 25 to 44, 22.8% from 45 to 64, and 14.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 114.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 116.3 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 19904, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 17905 White, 471 Black or African American, 1287 American Indian, 33 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, and 200 from two or more races.
