Its population was estimated at 201138 in July 2008, It is Oregon's sixth most populous county. Its area is just over 2801.77 sq mi (7256.55 square kilometre), of which, 2785.19 square miles (7213.61 square kilometre) of it is land and 16.57 square miles (42.92 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 13th largest in terms of geographical size.
