Jackson County, Oregon is a county located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The population of the county was 181269 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 201138 in July 2008, It is Oregon's sixth most populous county. Its area is just over 2801.77 sq mi (7256.55 square kilometre), of which, 2785.19 square miles (7213.61 square kilometre) of it is land and 16.57 square miles (42.92 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 13th largest in terms of geographical size.

The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 201138, The racial makeup of the county was 94.33% White, 0.69% Black or African American, 1.17% American Indian, 1.28% Asian, 0.23% Native Hawaiian, and 2.3% from two or more races.
