Interlaken Borough is a borough located in the Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Interlaken Borough had an official population of 900 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 877, It is the 27th least populous in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The borough extends throughout a territory of 0.4 miē (1.04 kmē ), of which, 0.35 square miles (0.91 kmē) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 16th smallest by total area in New Jersey.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 900 people, 457 households, and 284 families living in the borough. The population density was 2556.2 people per square mile (986.95/kmē), it is the 288th most densely populated borough in the U.S. state of New Jersey. There were 397 housing units at an average density of 1134.3 per square mile (437.96/kmē). The average household size was 2.33 people, and the average family size was 2.86 people. In the borough Population was distributed with 17.9% under the age of 18, 4% from 18 to 24, 21.9% from 25 to 44, 33.4% from 45 to 64, and 22.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89 males. The median age was 47.6 years, the median age of male residents at 47 and the median age of female residents at 48.3. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 888 White, Black or African American, American Indian, 2 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 9 from two or more races and Ohter races.
