Inglis Town is a one of the Levy County, Florida, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1491. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1636, It is the 216th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. The town comprises an area of 3.67 square miles (9.51 sq km), of which, 3.65 square miles (9.45 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 432nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1491 people, 670 households, and 427 families residing in the town. The population density was 408.2 people per square mile (157.61/kmē), making its Florida's 126th least densely populated town. There were 803 housing units at an average density of 220 per square mile (84.94/kmē). The average household size was 2.23 persons, and the average family size was 2.7 persons.
