Indio City is one of the city of Riverside County, California, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 49116 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 84443, making it California's 158th largest. It covers total area of 26.7 square miles (69.15 sq km), of which, 26.69 square miles (69.13 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 104th largest by total area in California.
