Indian Rocks Beach City is one of the city of Pinellas County, Florida, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 5072 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 5143, It is Florida's 423rd largest by population . The city comprises an area of 1.39 mi˛ (3.6 sq km), of which, 0.93 square miles (2.41 sq km) of it is land and 0.46 square miles (1.19 sq km) of it is water, it is the 207th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 97.18% White, 0.3% Black or African American, 0.18% American Indian, 0.61% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 1.42% from two or more races and 0.3% Other races.
