Independence City is a United States city located in the Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 1244 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1212, It is the 330th largest by population in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city spans an area of 1.31 mi˛ (3.39 sq km), of which, 1.27 square miles (3.29 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, it is the 417th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.
