Hutchins City is a city located in Dallas County, Texas, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. It is home to over 2805 people (2000 census). In July 2008, its estimated population was 3095, It is the 515th largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. It has total area of 8.62 square miles (22.33 square kilometre), of which, 8.49 square miles (21.99 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 264th largest by total area among Texas.
