Hurley City is one of the city of Iron County, Wisconsin, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Hurley City is home to 1818 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 1543, It is the 258th largest by population in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city spans an area of 3.31 miē (8.57 kmē), of which, 3.15 square miles (8.16 kmē) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 201st largest by total area among Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1818 people in the city, organized into 76 households, and 48 families living in the city.
