Humboldt County is a county in the United States of California. Humboldt County had an official population of 126518 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 129000, It is California's 35th most populous county. Its area is just over 4052.22 sq mi (10495.2 sq km), of which, 3572.49 square miles (9252.71 sq km) of it is land and 479.74 square miles (1242.52 sq km) of it is water, it is the 13th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in California.

In the county Age distribution was 23.2% under the age of 18, 12.4% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.6 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 129000, The racial makeup of the county was 111265 White, 1481 Black or African American, 8082 American Indian, 2590 Asian, 330 Native Hawaiian, and 5252 from two or more races.
