As per the 2000 census, census designated place has a population of 7814 inhabitants. It is the 21st largest in terms of population. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 3.23 square miles (8.37 kmē ), of which, 3.06 square miles (7.93 kmē) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 kmē) of it is water, it is the 36th largest by area in the U.S. state of New Hampshire.
