Howell Town is a town located in Box Elder County, Utah, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of the town was 221 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 245, It is Utah's 32nd smallest by population . The town comprises an area of 35.6 mi˛ (92.2 sq km), of which, 35.4 square miles (91.69 sq km) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 sq km) of it is water, it is the sixth largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 221 people in the town, organized into 68 households, and 55 families residing in the town. The population density was 6.2 people per square mile (2.39/km˛), it would be the third least densely populated town in the U.S. state of Utah.
