Howell County, Missouri is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 37238 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 39000 in July 2008, It is Missouri's 29th most populous county. The county has a total area of 928.33 square miles (2404.36 kmē), of which, 927.74 square miles (2402.84 kmē) of it is land and 0.59 square miles (1.53 kmē) of it is water, making it Missouri's fourth largest county by total area.
