Houston County, Minnesota is a county of the United States of Minnesota. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 19718 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 19245, It is the 50th most populous county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The county comprises an area of 568.91 sq mi (1473.47 sq km), of which, 558.41 square miles (1446.28 sq km) of it is land and 10.5 square miles (27.19 sq km) of it is water, it is the 26th smallest in terms of geographical size.
