Horse Cave City, Hart County, Kentucky is a city located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2252 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 2326, making it Kentucky's 156th largest. The city encompasses an area of 2.97 mi˛ (7.69 sq km), giving it the 142nd largest by total area among Kentucky.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2252 people, 977 households, and 602 families living in the city.
