Hope City is a city in the Steele County, North Dakota, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 303 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 256, It is the 138th largest by population in the U.S. state of North Dakota. The city has a total area of 0.62 square miles (1.61 kmē), giving it the 167th largest by total area among North Dakota.
