It is 50th most populous in West Virginia. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 2.38 miē (6.16 kmē ), of which, 2.31 square miles (5.98 kmē) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, making it West Virginia's 80th largest by total area.
